NOVARTIS BUYS AVIDITY:

100% premium is historically very high!

“Rumors of a potential buyout had been swirling for months. The FT first reported talks on Aug. 6. The price announced Sunday represents a major premium of almost
double the company’s value the day before the FT report.”

Sad to hear that David Baltimore died. I am one of hundreds of scientists that David generously mentored, supported, and inspired. His influence on each of us was deep and lasting, and his impact on the world immeasurable. Arguably David Baltimore is one of the greatest scientists of any generation.

It is beyond belief that the main issues that Trump won on in 2016 were:

1) adherence to infosec protocols
2) economic populism
3) anti-corruption
4) savior of sex trafficked kids

My god what a fucking failure of information and fact finding

The directors of the #F1 international feed really blew the coverage of Leclerc during Q3. They had to replay *only a portion* of his lap after qualifying was finished.

I can only assume based on today’s news flow (firing the head of the BLS because of BAD economic data and threatening nuclear war with Russia) that the Epstein information trickle is about to be a tsunami.

No shit
President Trump was informed by Pam Bondi in the spring that his name appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein files, three people with knowledge of the exchange said. It was not clear what those documents were, or in what context the president’s name was raised. https://trib.al/zLNCcDd

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

White House describes Amazon’s effort to make clear how much its pricing is affected by tariffs so consumers know why prices are climbing as “a hostile and political act.”

Other people would just call it “math.”
REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies?

LEAVITT: This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.
