Extreme left and extreme right are the same animals. Hitler and Starlin?
I often think back to a Greek taxi driver who once told me: "Too many people want the harshest laws they can imagine - for everyone except themselves."

This thinking is rife on the right, but it is also prevalent in a significant minority on the left. And that last part always takes me by surprise.

Isn't it fantastic to be a sovereign nation once again, able to make our own rules and not bend to the demands of foreign politicians?

This must be one of those Brexit benefits. Starmer will agree to this as he always gives in to the Trump dictator.
The 51st state.

Trump demands that the UK allows American chlorinated chicken and hormone-treated meat into its supermarkets.

UK already agreed to pay more for US drugs, reduced tax on private equity managers, considering cutting tax on tech companies.

Trump's plan to build battleships is very last century. Does his navy have a say in this? If he keeps looking backwards soon he will want to bring back slavery.

But he isn't blockading the Russian oil exports. I wonder why.
The blockade of Venezuela is a disgusting echo of U.S. imperialism in Latin America. We were lied to about Iraq and WMDs, and an entire generation paid the price.

Here we are again.

We cannot let a wannabe dictator drag us into another forever war.

The UK should understand that the USA is no longer a reliable Ali and not a predictable trade partner. We should be looking at the commonwealth and Africa for growth.

Financial parasite companies look for industries where regulations are lacking so they can extract as much money as possible. The UK is an ideal target. The British don't care it seems.
