23 years ago today, Dylan debuted surprise covers of Neil Young's "Old Man" and Don Henley's "The End of the Innocence." They'd both become set regulars for a short time.

Dylan played Desert Trip 9 years ago today.

In lieu of his face on the giant video screens, he performed to footage from old films: '57 Pennebaker short Daybreak Express, '61 Marlon Brando Western One Eyed Jacks, '47 noir Detour, etc.

On September 29, 2000, a fan frantically waves a copy of New Morning at the window of Bob's bus, stuck in traffic.

At the very next show, Bob debuts a New Morning song he's never played live before.
