A very lovely afternoon to evening yesterday with the ace @marispiperbingo & Nancy. Cooked a stew of pork, chorizo, prawns & cod. Served it with bread & padron peppers. Also: MUCH SPARKLING BOOZE. A wonderful and hilarious day 🤣😍🤣😍

ALL YOUR CHRISTMAS ARE BELONG TO US.
It’s the exclusive everyone wanted, the story that will win next year’s Pulitzer…

I can reveal London’s giant AI generated Christmas artwork, the subject of much online mockery, is being torn down - and I honestly *genuinely* think you’ll never guess why. www.londoncentric.media/p/ai-artwork...
London's giant AI artwork to be torn down
The bizarre story of why a much-talked-about creation is being torn down. Plus: Docklands Light Railway extension, giant laser stalks the night sky, and more tales of Android phone theft rejection.

SEE IT. SAY IT. SAUSAGES.
Ace lunch with Kate at favourite local bistro Quality Wines. Gildas, Focaccia, Panino con Bollito, Omek Houria, Cassoulet of Salt Cod, Trompettes de la Mort & Bayonne Ham, and Saucisse Purée. Then Quince & Almond Tart. The set lunch is one of the best value meals in London

A brilliant weekend of jazz. The highlight was the mighty Mulatu Astatke at the RFH. A real privilege to see him again, but a sadness that it was his last tour. An incredible performance. Before that: on Sat at the Barbican Cinema, 4 hours of Derek Bailey’s superb Improvisation in Music documentary.

Where would our city be without its transport workers? They keep London moving and as we’ve seen in recent days, they can be heroes in moments of real adversity.

To every transport worker, from our bus drivers to our station staff: thank you for all you do. You are truly valued.

A great night at Rio Cinema last night for the Doc’n Roll fest showing of Butthole Surfers: The Hole Truth & Nothing Butt. An ace doc. A brilliant, creative journey through their world. It felt honest, but also hilarious. & a joy to get to talk to director Tom Stern & discuss Butts & Shimmy Disc. 😍

When George Boole invented the binary system that lies at the heart of all computing, he was trying to mathematically prove that God exists, so this is nothing particularly new (but they won't accidentally invent the future, the way Boole did)

I love London so much. So much.

Did you know that London has the lowest level of ethnic violence of any city of comparable size in the world?

Multiculturalism has in fact worked here. They just don’t want it to be true because we happen to have a Muslim mayor.
In London, hate will never win.
