My thoughts precisely on the recent news about Larian and Sandfall's AI usage. Research is difficult, but creating art based on the secondhand phantasmagoria of an algorithm will inject flaws into the very foundations of your work, unhealthy not only for each project but each one that follows.
Been thinking on the use of GenAi for mood boards. Ethics and legal risks aside, I truly believe using GenAi as references deprives one of many pivotal things.

I feel like anti-intellectualism and poor science communication are united by the problem that we don't like when two contradictory things are true. When a person has both irreplacable expertise and human foibles, we are tempted think of them either as an unassailable voice or a dismissable fool.

Just got finished watching this premiere. I can say that the hype was not only deserved, but arguably insufficient. Right now my #1 contender for favorite new show of the season, and could easily shape up to be my 2025 all-around favorite.
