Oh absolutely, my protagonists are all thieves! They quite literally steal for a living. I meant it in the sense that they're still good people. But things like morality and goodness will always be subjective.

Hell yeah! Molten goodness coursing through their beings. I should add that I love flawed protagonists too, and I'll always have a soft spot for my grimdark heroes. But there's something about unyielding goodness that just draws me in and keeps me reading.

Agreed! I'm fine with flawed characters, I think it makes them interesting. But I do enjoy a protagonist who's fundamentally good, and doesn't waver in that aspect.

It's a trait that all my protagonists share: their humanity. Even though they're not all human. 😅

Beneath all the bluster and banter, they deeply care for each other, and for their city. They're good people. We need good people.

Also, I think they're quite funny. 😁

I think Mireia's most endearing trait is that she's bold & insistent on living her life the way *she* wants to. She can be a goof & def has her vulnerabilities, but she's not shy or cowed by power.

Kena is kind & earnestly trying to be a good person, but also a sarcastic smartass, which is fun 😁
