Trend: noun. a general direction in which something is developing or changing.
I'm glad #ADHD and Autism diagnosis are a trend, we needed change desperately.
The alternative meaning of trend, "fashion", does not apply here

According to psychology if someone online starts a sentence with "according to psychology" it probably has nothing to do with psychology and is completely unproven

I really enjoyed talking to Katy Thompsett for her article on ADHD parenting in the Indo and I love how it turned out. It's also in the print edition (this week or next week?) if you get a chance to pick it up
‘Everything is more stressful, more magnified, louder’ – the highs, lows and hurdles of raising kids when you have ADHD
No one said having kids was easy – for every toothy grin and charming quirk, there’s a sleepless night, the chaos of the local playgroup and the insistence on reading The Gruffalo eight times over.

Looking online for descriptions of abuse to help people recognize abuse and.. everything is describing intentional coercive control.
The majority of people being abusive are clearly not planning it, and there aren't descriptions of this type of abuse. 1/2

So, I wrote this app to help with #decisionFatigue / #decisionParalysis / #ADHD. You give it a to-do list, and it randomly selects a task for you. It only gives you one task at a time, and you have to finish that before it gives you a new one.

We've probably all been on both sides of this in one way or another, especially if we have ADHD.
Let's do our best to clarify with someone that they mean before we take offense.

I’m a writer, and it mortifies me when an email I’ve sent causes offense. It doesn’t happen often, but today a colleague misunderstood me and responded with hurtful accusations cc’d to their team. Any advice or anecdotes to move past my shame spiral? Is this common? #adhd #neurodivergent

For the past week while doing other tasks I have incidentally noticed a stapler which I did not need to use at the time. I now have a task which requires a stapler. I have no idea where the stapler is, or where it was that I noticed it. #ADHD

Apparently, "intrusive sleep" is a sudden onset of drowsiness or sleep triggered by abrupt disengagement from an activity or conversation due to boredom or loss of interest.
It's really interesting, and it explains a few things about someone I know who has ADHD.

Parenting with ADHD moment: had kids on track for bedtime. 6yo asks me to untangle her necklace & I say it’s not the time. But then minutes later she cleverly puts it in my hand & without thinking I’m like “why is this so tangled” & spend 15 minutes figuring it out until I realize what’s happened.
