This has been driving me insane. Like, who cares, but also it's crazy making.
This isn't important, but: A weirdly high number of y'all keep referring to ministers/pastors as priests.
This is particularly odd, since *most* Christians in the U.S. belong to traditions that generally do not call their clergy priests!

I wonder how many panic attacks caused by fascism and my miniscule and inane personal BS I can squeeze into one week? And how much shame I will feel for having a panic attack in my position of privilege?

Call me a pedant but I think this is extremely important if we are ever getting back to normal. We have to make lying bad again, and that includes lying about evil people. “That dude sucks so it’s fine to totally misrepresent what he said, for clout” is toxic to our society, truth matters

The Problem with Our Contempt
When our hearts get sick with hatred, we start dehumanizing the other and no longer see suffering but just justice served. Once you celebrate the suffering of one, then there is no bar to cross of how evil or bad someone needs to be to celebrate their suffering, and eventually you cheer when ordinary people suffer the actions of the elites.
