Theyd be a lot more justifyable if there were 3 slot gems with all points of 1 slot skills like in world. Yeah it makes people way tankier but the value proposition between 1 point of WEx or all points of divine protection/recovery up/speed eating is a lot more enticing

You aint wrong, if nothing else the game -never- asks people to fulfil specific OR varied roles, 4 Hammers never hitting a body part than the head, 4 longswords tripping eachother, doesnt matter.

I like it when the fights demand more co-ordination, or at the very least awareness of your allies

But people are reluctant to tune down numbers so you get groups where noone heals or does mechanics, when in reality theyre wayyyyyy more engaging than just stun-looping monsters in other fights.

The skill slot issue is largely solved at master rank when armour has more slots or skills and so on, so I know its not a forever thing. Just right now it feels like 90% of the game isnt hard enough to justify the flex skills over damage, but the good shit at the end demands them

I know oldschool monhun players probably would throw a fit if the game was exclusively this style of fighting going forward, but id personally be elated.

Alternatively, next FF mmo, please just get capcom to make this at-scale but someone else do the menus/multiplayer connectivity lol

Depending on weapon sure, but some moves are simply undodgable without EE and some weapons struggle to sheath between getting hit and needing to run.

Meanwhile id kill to have my full healer gear suite of skills for the new SnS but without a talismen with basically all of them in one, its undoable

Almost done farming all the new Omega bits in wilds, genuinely my fav fight in the game now. My main complaint is that the armour from it and at large, doesnt include enough 1 slots or auxillary skills to feel comfortable

Quick sheath/evade extender/guard up/speed eating -feel like theyre mandatory

Specifically with socializing and neurodivergence it can be SO HARD to recognize when you've accidentally beefed something vs they're having a bad day vs basic unproblematic "they're not my type of person". Recognizing that Your Behavior is NOT THE SOLE FACTOR is *really* helpful for anxiety lmfao

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.
