I am humbled by the support of more than 545,000 New Yorkers in last week's primary.

This is just the beginning of our expanding coalition to make New York City affordable. And we will do it together.

I know Trump's senility is a feature and Biden's was a bug, but WOW this should be a bigger news story. He has the question REPEATED for him and he doesn't understand it.
REPORTER: Is there an expected timeframe that detainees will stay here? Days, weeks, month?

TRUMP: I'm gonna spend a lot. This is my home state. I love it. I'll spend a lot of time here.

The reason the Times has to focus so much on Chase Strangio as a scapegoat for Skrmetti is that the movement leaders running legal strategy were basically all the same cis ones who did marriage equality. The whole narrative falls apart when you realize that.

There is a tremendous effort by donors to push the democrats to throw the entire trans community under the bus. It's a top down effort to collaborate with fascism under the deluded idea that it'll somehow win more votes.
Democrats have largely held solid on transgender rights in recent years in terms of actual votes taken.

There is a hugely financed movement trying to get them to stop, trying to build pillars to allow them to throw us under the bus.

Interviews like this from Sarah McBride are in service to that.
The fundamental problem with Sarah McBride's logic in the New York Times today is that the fight over transgender rights is not one where "if only we were a little less confrontational" is the driving factor.

Look at Republicans and how they treat people that even acknowledge a transgender woman.

"Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice we're willing to make."

They acknowledge the harms of trans youth being left untreated and then greenlight banning treatment. It's psychotic wanton cruelty.

The federal government imposing a stop work order on Trevor project for the national 988 suicide hotline on the same day that the Supreme Court greenlit a ban on care despite the risk of suicide sends a clear message:

The United States government officially wants trans youth to kill themselves.

I really think that a lot of GCs believe that if they take away trans people's human rights that the motivation to transition will disappear. Not even just that if they make the world hostile for us we won't come out, but that if they make it hostile enough they'll "cure" dysphoria

I believe protests should only be done in a way that the powers that be aren’t disturbed enough to enact the change being sought by said protests
