Social Media features exceedingly few tools for users to both sufficiently tag, recommend tags, and organize posts by topic.

This is because the fucking platform of choice is the wrongest choice, everything is in the same slop-chute with little deviation and platforms like Bluesky could fix that.

VP Delcy Rodriguez, whom Trump indicated earlier today was collaborating with the US government, is live on television right now.

Earlier reports that she's in Russia are false. She's in Caracas with the rest of the cabinet.

The United States has invaded and is militarily occupying the country of Venezuela. Trump says we will “run it.”

It is worth checking out Jon Stewart’s Daily Show episode from last month if you haven’t seen it.

Trump just started Iraq War 2.0

FOX & FRIENDS: What do you think is next for the Venezuelan people now that you have removed Maduro so he can face American justice?

TRUMP: Well, we're making that decision now. We can't take a chance on letting somebody else run it, just take over where he left off. So we're making that decision

And there ya have it…

Officials from top Wall Street firms will be traveling to Venezuela to investigate “investment prospects” of the country. “The trip will feature about 20 officials from the finance, energy and defense sectors.”

As everyone catches up with the incredibly narrow timetable the USN just ran that operation on, let's take score.

It looks like the US just did a fireball run on the air defense and command/control centers, shit some special forces dudes around Maduro's compound, and then took him into custody.

Three million people live in Caracas, five million in the metro area. It's one of the densest cities in South America. Remember this in the morning when they try to spin this as anything other than a cold-blooded attack on a major civilian center.

I totally vibe here right, like, yes that's part of the motivation.

But the other part is cutting a corner off the current Energy Market, emphasized by the Tanker Interceptions.

Venezuela's dictatorship didn't do much to earn the sympathy it is going to get; simultaneously, we invaded like idiots.

If things play out like they did in Russia circa 2022, it'd be shocked, but something to watch for domestically is our Media getting handed prescribed narratives.

The pentagon was already set up for this when it cleaned out most of the press corps last year, plus the manipulation of mainstream news

The reason you go scorched-earth on this is the same reason we should have gone scorched-earth on impoundment; you can't stop it from happening, but you absolutely need to stop it from becoming a normal part of politics. You have to draw a line.

Caracas is under fire. Multiple U.S. strikes have hit key military sites: Fuerte Tiuna, La Carlota airbase, and a communications center in El Hatillo. Explosions echo through the capital, the power is out in parts of the city, and U.S. helicopters are flying low. Fires also rage near La Guaira.

Tonight the US began active strikes and ground deployment of probably Special Forces within Venezuela.

So far the rationale for this has been:
-Hallucinations of Opioid Trafficking
-"Restoring Democracy"
-A comical but disgusting claim of Land Back
-Inflicting harm on an oil exporter for profit

I somewhat doubt that the developers for #projectsilverfish have a presence here, but I'm posting up my review from steam here because I really think the game *could* be phenomenal.

I don't even complain about the dogshit scope mechanic darkening the entire screen for no fucking reason.

In 2011, I captured this photo of a bit of incomplete sidewalk that had been used as someone's canvas.

4th Avenue, Tucson, Az. I was a freshman in community college. I think about this picture nearly every day.

I really need folks to call their reos and yell about the high priority bills. Things are moving along and legislators are getting a surprising amount of SUPPORT for these policies

Please do not assume this cannot happen. Please call, get your friends and family to call. Please.
now that the govt shutdown is over, y'all will need to really yell and scream about these bills because many of them are going to be pushed again.

tell your representatives to OPPOSE these shitty policies!

Me except to your parents when inevitably we have to have a discussion about niche health conditions with them and they respond with a "well if you weren't so lazy-".

Like one of my pals had a seizure recently and their parent was all "have you tried to stop shaking?", I'd hose them in acid too.

I just had talked with my husband about this being possible largely due to Valve's general endorsement of gambling. For those who don't know, the abrupt adoption of Lootboxes started with Team Fortress 2's Crates system. From there, Valve's wealth continued to escalate, not just because of games.
