Anyone who was around gaming message boards c. 2000 deeply recognizes this type of guy.
It feels like this is becoming a more common mass shooter profile: Someone who's interested in politics but not as a vehicle to express clear values or a coherent viewpoint. He just wants to mock anyone who takes it seriously.

I think this when they say "X is a monster" - sadly, no: X is all too human. They may set an example for mankind's potential monstrosity, but what they do is all too human. Yes, human's are also capable of kindness, but we're living through an age where our monstrosity is on full display.
