Hot take: I don’t care what the intentions of politicians are. We should judge them based on results.

Greenwashing isn’t harmless—it’s dangerous. Fossil fuel advertising hides well-documented health risks.

Fossil fuel advertising isn’t honest about these facts, and it fails to inform people of the health risks associated with these products.

The BC Greens stand with the First Nations who oppose this project. The BC government must not bend on this issue and must stand with First Nations. Just yesterday, the CleanBC Review was released making clear that our climate responsibilities and fossil fuels cannot co-exist.

What the absolute fuck, dude.

The BC NDP do not “lack the courage” to take on corporate power. That implies that they are a worthwhile party with good values that they are not acting on.They are governing by their core values of corporate, colonial and capitalist supremacy over British Columbia.

If you're keeping score this week, Carney is:

* Negotiating backroom deals on pipelines with Alberta and without BC or Indigenous folks.
* Undermining anti-greenwashing laws.
* Making deals with the UAE despite their role in Sudan.
* Cutting funding for infectious disease work in Africa.

Collaboration when possible. Scrutiny when necessary. The stakes demand both. Elizabeth May makes clear that any move toward tankers on B.C.’s north coast would violate the commitments the Prime Minister made in the House this week—and we intend to hold him to them.

Grateful to the grassroots organizers for bringing us all together to protect old growth forests and call out the government's broken promises -- here in Victoria, and across BC at simultaneous rallies. Both BC Green MLAs attended the Victoria rally while juggling duties in the legislature. #bcpoli

The fracked gas being exported is dirtier than coal, and Carney and Eby are pretending this is ‘clean growth’ while they gamble with our climate, taxpayer dollars, and Indigenous rights. It’s up to us to spook investors and thwart a final investment decision. /3

Fun fact: Carney wasn’t even welcome in Prince Rupert for this announcement — local nations including Lax Kw’alaams and Metlakatla are opposing Ksi Lisims LNG. He had to change the venue last minute, yet the Feds and province are still rushing to fast-track this giveaway to US billionaires. #bcpoli
