Remember when Bluesky was promoted as an alternative to Twitter because Twitter had too much "hateful rhetoric"?

This entire site is people celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk, a 31-year-old father of 2, because he held different political opinions.

Evil people abound here.

This idea might be the best way to get progressives to learn a thing or two about a thing or two.

This type of thinking is what makes Democrats look so deranged to the average voter.

Instead of admitting that crime is bad and we should take appropriate steps to prevent it, they instead remain ever the Trump contrarians and try to act like crime is not bad, or in some cases, a good thing.
New in PN: Don't listen to centrist Democrats about crime

"The right response to Trump’s authoritarianism isn’t to say 'maybe he has a point.' It’s to attack him and his allies for their dishonesty, their thuggishness, and their failures. That’s how Democrats avoid looking weak."
Don't listen to centrist Democrats about crime
They're wrong on the policy and wrong on the politics.

People often say they like to travel to expand their perspective, gain empathy for other cultures, and to enrich their understanding of the world.

These people will also express profound ignorance of their neighbors in their own community who vote differently from them.

Regardless of your politics, adults saying "disappearing" is a trend that should have ended 6 months ago
note that this isn't a denial and ICE is kidnapping and disappearing people

Folks like this tend to miss how deporting illegal immigrants vs imposing face covering requirements on everyone for an indeterminate amount of time are viewed differently by most Americans
These militarist ICE raids are the actual government oppression that right wingers dreamed was happening during Covid. They are not up in arms like they were about masking, go figure.

The amount of blocking people do on this site is insane.

Every election cycle, liberals seem bewildered about how they end up in a homogeneous thought bubble but then lash out at any opinion that doesn't conform to their orthodoxy.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how cool this picture makes Trump supporters look?

Attempts by the Left to paint conservatives as out of touch tend to backfire spectacularly.

But she objectively crushed it in by doing it acapella.

As with most things, once cooler heads prevail, I believe that performance will go down as one of the most iconic of this
century.

Of course, Germany is battling their own immigration problems so if I were them, I'd pay less attention to what Elon Musk did and more attention to Angela Merkel did

Here's the deal with January 6th. Multiple things are true at once.

1) It was a bad day for America

2) It was horrible to attack police officers & storm the Capitol

3) Jan 6 protesters were treated differently (more harshly) than BLM rioters and previous Capitol attackers for political reasons
I dedicated years of my life to reporting on January 6 and exposing what happened. I was there that day, co-wrote a book, and published a series of major stories on my own, for Rolling Stone, and for TPM.

I hope it mattered. I hope history will remember and understand what happened.

Ways I would fix the NFL:

1) Change the kickoff rule back to the way it was 10 years ago

2) Reduce roughing the passer flags by 50%

3) Play an international game at 9:30 am ET every other week

4) Add a second bye week to the season

5) Eliminate the coin toss in favor of a 50-yard lineman race

Have we aligned yet on whether gender affirming care is happening in consequential numbers? We keep going back and forth on that
Zuck is citing an explicitly political justification to require large numbers of workers to relocate to a state where abortion and youth gender affirming care are illegal. That’s quite a statement on who belongs on your trust and safety team.

"Fascism" has become a catch all term for ideas that aren't sufficiently progressive
Been fascinating to watch America take the "slowly, then all at once" approach to fascism
Huge changes across Facebook's platforms coming soon. Mark Zuckerberg says the recent elections "feel like a cultural tipping point towards once again prioritizing speech..." www.facebook.com/zuck/videos/...

Another interesting observation on this site as opposed to Twitter- people are much less tolerant and will block you fairly quickly on here.

When the Progressives seem surprised they don't have a pulse on what regular people think, this might be a contributing factor.

People take great pleasure cocooning themselves in their own ideological pond so they can be extra surprised when they find their political arguments are wildly out of touch with normies

It's always funny to see vulgar language used in the original post and then a complaint issued by the author regarding vulgar language in the replies.
