This also applies to "well, have you also talked about these other incidents that you're not talking about right this second because I want to try to act like Jews get special treatment/have too much influence while claiming "not" antisemitic" style posts. Fuck all y'all. Seriously.

Just to be absolutely clear:

The President of the United States has absolutely no power to “take away” any right enumerated in the Constitution from any person.

And that is how every single article, blog post, and social media commentary should start when discussing this ludicrous statement.

Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

the NYT's Harvard thing is genuinely weird. imagine being obsessed with the politics and social standing of a school you went to three decades ago

Shocked, just shocked, by this important scoop on front page of today's NYT. /s/

Based on report that came out ... nine months ago

And behavior long predating that

("Skip a class? Perish the thought!!" Says anyone who ever worked on a college newspaper, which covers a lot of people in the media.)
NYT front page headline: "Harvard Finds Skipping Class Part of Culture."

Once again @nytimes.com heds and subheds are failing to convey to readers what is actually happening. The casual reader will come away with the impression that this is a genuinely held rationale on Trump's part, rather than a corrupt pretext for lawless, authoritarian threats.

The essence of Bari Weiss: not reporting, but crude partisan propaganda presented in the form of reporting—and usually pronounced from the mouths of anonymous sources which likely don't exist. Expect this sort of prolefeed at CBS News soon.

Penny & Trixie: We protect the family
Two mini dachshunds laying across mom's legs to protect her from evil aka the dog walker they see everyday. Penny, on the left, is a smooth chocolate and tan in a blue harness. Trixie, on the right, is a longhair black, white, and tan in a pink harness.

Not just "no evidence," but the fire chief has affirmatively said there's no evidence of an intentional fire -- to which some friends have responded, "yeah, but why should we believe *that*?"

At some point, we can't just assume the conspiracy and treat the absence of evidence as further proof.

"At this time, there is no evidence to indicate the fire was intentionally set," Chief Keel said.

Folks, it's time to back away from all the post hoc ergo propter hoccing from the awful fire at the SC judge's home this weekend. We follow the evidence. (We are the fact-based party, right?)

UPDATE: The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Chief Mark Keel has provided a statement regarding the investigation of the fire at Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein’s Colleton County home.

You see what he's doing here, right? He's equating brown skinned people with "illegal rabble rouser" who are here to do WHITE PEOPLE harm. Same racist shit as Nazis, the Klan, Christian Nationalists, etc. He's othering people so white people will be fine when the othered ones are murdered.

Just in case someone missed this detail:
Wells Fargo used the ICE orks to clear out a building of lawful residents to make a buck

Again, a military terror purge was carried out with naked children in handcuffs for the benefit of Wells Fargo execs

A corrupt corp that will bleat at any reciprocity

Some folks just want to be miserable all the time and it boring as fuck.

Some folks have decided that the way to survive our current hellscape is to be non-stop joyless scolds.

That is not sustainable for you as a human or for us as a people.
