Given the distance between the shooter and Charlie Kirk (estimated to be around 200 yards) and the accuracy of the shot, law enforcement should not overlook sharpshooters with military experience.

The president went on TV to attack political opponents and blame them for the killing of Charlie Kirk, even though we don’t know who shot him.

If there is anything this man can do to worsen the situation, he will do it. Despicable.

In no manner was Charlie Kirk a Great American. He was, basically, a trolling white supremacist, anti-LGBTQ college drop-out influencer who profited from division and hate.

Trump and Republicans are blaming the Left.

Again, Kirk's shooter has not been found and we don't know the motive and ideology.

It's almost as if they want to provoke violence so they can unleash the military and national guard on blue cities.

Oh wait...

TIP FOR CONSERVATIVES:

If you are bereft over the gun shooting of Charlie Kirk, just pretend he was a kid in an elementary school, and you will forget about the whole thing within a minute.

Trump was angry that Charlie Kirk dared to call out the Epstein files. He was angry that Charlie dared to question the cowardly and inappropriate attack on the Venezuelan speedboat. Did Trump decide shooting Charlie would be a great distraction from these issues? The shooter probably won’t be found.

Which work? Calling for gay people to be stoned to death? Blaming airplane crashes on black pilots? Anti-vax bullshit? Election denialism? Pushing Great Replacement Theory?

Kirk’s murder is awful and ominous for this country. But no, we don’t need to honor him or “continue his work.”

COMMENTARY: Charlie Kirk was shot in Utah today. And so were schoolchildren in Colorado. Because of the sick delusion that violence solves problems. None of us is safe.

How do we know Trump didn’t order Kirk’s assassination as a distraction from Epstein — and a tactic to start the civil unrest he needs to declare Martial Law and delay the 2026 midterms?

Val Kilmer, who starred in Top Gun, The Doors, Tombstone, Heat, and Batman, has died.

He was 65.

His daughter tells The New York Times that the cause was pneumonia.

Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer about a decade ago but, after treatment, was declared cancer-free.

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.
