This morning antisemitic threats were made at Temple Israel. This follows the racist & islamophobic threats in our Ward last night and a fire last week at Alhikma Islamic Center mosque.

It is not hyperbole to say that if we lose the DFL governorship, more people will die.

If you give even a tiny damn about trans folks & other marginalized people, or want to keep MN safe, DO EVERYTHING to fight this & keep it that way.

JUST IN: The Republican Mayor of Fairbanks, Alaska’s second biggest city, lost re-election last night to a Democrat.

Mayor David Pruhs is a conservative who fought protections for LGBTQ+ residents; he made comments this year drew condemnation this year from Alaska Natives. He lost to Mindy O'Neall.

The administration just issued a rule slashing foreign agricultural worker wages. And to justify it, in a public filing, Trump's Labor Department alleges that Trump's immigration enforcement has devastated the Ag workforce and caused a "risk of supply shock-induced food shortages."

We've been watching a group of wild turkeys grow up in our neighborhood since the spring and @kristinamarina.bsky.social will send me a video more often than not on her way to work when she runs into them. Every time I see the notification I'm like "hell yeah. Turkey time."

Which he needlessly pitted against emergency housing vouchers, which serve a different population & are necessary in conjunction to help address the breadth of the issue.

Frey’s proposed 2026 budget defunds them, but emergency housing vouchers are funded in the 2025 budget; MPHA implemented the operational needs to get vouchers out in Q3 for resident use. It’s now Q4 & sitting in CPED. 100 vouchers could be in use right now: 50 for single residents, 50 for families.

Frey bleats “you can’t have encampments by home & businesses“ but that’s exactly where he’s pushed these folks. Meanwhile 50 housing vouchers go unfunded.

To put this into context, the judicial warrant for the search at the Hyundai plant named just four people.

Relying on that warrant, ICE detained nearly 500 people. DHS admitted that included U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and people lawfully here on visas.
