getting alot of liberal followers so let me be clear: i’m an abolitionist and an anarchist, the democratic party is complicit in the rise and power consolidation of the authoritarian right

institutions are not coming to save us, we actively have to work to protect our most vulnerable

Do the work.

After eight years as mayor of the largest city in the state, Jacob Frey has exactly 0 endorsements from state legislators.

Mayor Frey’s inability to work with people at the state and county is holding Minneapolis back and Minneapolis residents are paying the price.
Title text: 'Jacob Frey has 0 endorsements from state legislators" over subtitle "Meanwhile Minneapolis is lagging behind other cities in per capita stated funding. We deserve a mayor who can partner with the state to advance progress in Minneapolis." above a bar graph that shows Minneapolis at $191, St. Cloud at $230, St. Paul at $265, Brainerd at $364 and Duluth at $406."

Deeply examine your definitions/understandings of "violence" & who you allow to enact violence VS who you vilify for resistance.

Because striking back at systems isn't violence, it's resistance/defense.

DEFEND ONE ANOTHER.
mskellymhayes.bsky.social
Yes, they'll use whatever they can. They'll also say a nonviolent protest was violent. They'll also beat you and arrest you and then say you hit them first (as police traditionally have at protests). I'm not saying some actions won't be used against people, I'm saying that narrative happens anyway.

Latonya, Julie Wicklund and their allies in the state DFL know this and they do not care.

They’d rather entrench themselves in the power that they hold, then move the party left
phoenix-rights.bsky.social
worth noting, all state seats are up for reelection in 2026

that includes the Governor AND the AG

if the DFL loses these seats, it’s going to be devastating to those in the crosshairs of the federal government and state Rs

trans ppl, the houseless, immigrants will die
riotousmuse.bsky.social
This is the horrifying thing people need to be talking about.

It is not hyperbole to say that if we lose the DFL governorship, more people will die.

If you give even a tiny damn about trans folks & other marginalized people, or want to keep MN safe, DO EVERYTHING to fight this & keep it that way.

There is a faction actively trying to kill the DFL in Minneapolis.

Which is obviously unwise to anyone who cares about state and federal elections.

Link & I were mutuals. While he’s gone, I encourage you to support some of his causes:

1) Use alt text on all images to support disability justice. Adjust your bsky settings: settings > accessibility > require alt text.

2) Reply here with mutual aid requests. Donate if you can, boost if you can’t.
Infographic featuring a photo of a capybara.

Writing Alt Text: identify who, expression, description, color, and interesting features.

The completed example reads, “A capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa. Yellow yuzu fruits are floating in the water, and one is balanced on the top of the capybara’s head.” Screenshot of the bluesky accessibility settings that shows the “require alt text before posting” setting toggled on and underlined for emphasis.

Would love some art supplies gifted/sponsored so I can actually create the stuff on my mind.

I am never eligible for any grants/funds that would potentially help with that.
I have looked.
(Please don't suggest those in response to this.)

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason.

His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side.

Here are the screenshots he just sent me as of 8:22 AM EST(my time)
A screenshot of an email from the Bluesky Moderation Team with the subject line “Bluesky Account Behavior” sent at 22:15. The email states that a Bluesky account controlled by the recipient, with the handle @spacelawshitpost.me, posted a reply with an image where the alt text reads: Charlie Kirk sitting in a white T-shirt that says “Freedom.” A negative consequence follows. The email indicates this post violates Community Guidelines regarding violent or threatening speech, specifically listing threats of violence or physical harm against individuals, groups, institutions, or the general public, and incitement of self-harm or suicide. A screenshot of an email continuation from the Bluesky Moderation Team displaying a bulleted list of Community Guidelines violations. The first bullet point describes threats of violence or physical harm as including threats or encouragement of violence against individuals, groups, institutions, or the general public. The second bullet point defines incitement of self-harm or suicide as content that encourages self-harm or suicide. The third bullet point explains wishes of harm as expressions of a desire for harm directed at a specific person or group. Below the bullets, a paragraph states that users may not use Bluesky to break the law or cause harm to others and that all users must be treated with respect. The next paragraph informs the recipient that as a result of these violations, your account has been taken down. A closing paragraph thanks the user for doing their part to keep Bluesky a welcoming and empowering place for all users and instructs them to email moderation@blueskyweb.xyz if they have questions or wish to appeal the decision. The email ends with the signature Bluesky Moderation Team. A screenshot of an email reply from a user with the initials AJ and profile picture to the Bluesky Moderation Team, sent at 08:01 with the subject line Re: Bluesky Account Behavior. The email states the user wants to appeal the decision, asserting there was no threatening or violent connotation behind their use of the image. The user explains that the Charlie Kirk post is not a threat but rather a reaction meme expressing disappointment, with no threat made and no incitement of violence. The user mentions they have attached multiple examples and explanations, specifically 12 images in total, demonstrating the use of the image as a reaction meme. Below this text is a blue hyperlink to a Bluesky post URL. At the bottom of the screenshot is an embedded image showing a Bluesky post from a user with the handle @britculpsapp.bsky.social with several emoji reactions and a repost indicator showing Bluesky Elder. The post text reads: how to explain: this has been used as a reaction image to spending $20 on doordashing wendy’s & isn’t a threat. The timestamp shows October 5, 2025 at 3:34 PM. A screenshot of an email from the Bluesky Moderation Team sent at 08:11 with the subject line Re: Bluesky Account Behavior addressed To: Hide My Email. The email reads:

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to appeal the takedown of your account on Bluesky. We have carefully reviewed your case, including the information you provided and the activity that led to the suspension of your account.

After investigating, we have determined that your account activity was in violation of our community guidelines, specifically promoting hateful content or being disruptive to other users. We take these guidelines seriously to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all our users.

As a result, we regret to inform you that your appeal has been denied, and your account will remain suspended. This decision is final and cannot be reversed. We understand that this may be disappointing news, but we must prioritize the well-being of our community and maintain a consistent enforcement of our policies. We encourage you to review our community guidelines to better understand the expectations we have for user behavior on our platform. Please do not create new accounts, since those will be taken down for ban evasion.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I have a full day today, but I woke up early to put this edition of my newsletter together because I need you all to have this rundown of what we've been up against this week in Chicago as the federal assault on our city continues. To ignore these developments would be a damning mistake for us all.

Well just when I was feeling okay, I got the court hearing notice that I have to pay $5.7k in order to keep my home (not including what I owe already and paid today).

Here's the proof and court is the 16th of October.

I need so much more help than I realized.

Policing in this country has always been an exercise and white power and consumer capital they were always the same forces that we now rightly called Gestapo. We literally had a nationwide uprising about this five years ago. And the Democrats dismantled BLM and other groups seen as a threat

It’s absolutely unbelievable that only five years after the George Floyd uprising so many people are still fundamentally unable to understand. The cops clan and Gestapo are all the same people and will work to protect one another well before they ever protect the population.

This thread is an example why we should oppose deployment of local or state police to “protect” protestors in relation ICE/Fed aggression. It will multiply repression of protestors, not reduce it. Shitty move by Pritzker and a move Dem governors are likely to make.

for all of the good that Pritzker has done and said, the end result is still this.

This is why we say abolish.

The neoliberal state and its police forces will never stand with citizens.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
