The mass starvation & killing of Palestinians in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli gov’t is a chillul hashem, a desecration of God.

Jewish leaders who criticized Zohran Mamdani for three words he doesn’t use should raise their voices loudly here as well.

Gaza is starving. Where are the American Jewish leaders?
A fear of being labelled antisemitic still deters American Jews and Jewish institutions from taking a position that is morally correct.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.

Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

There is no path — nor has there ever been a path on any issue — to changing things through disengagement. Opting out just makes the existing pool of voters more conservative. You cannot name one progressive achievement made by not voting. Boycotting power only transfers it to your opponents.
Have you considered that maybe the current administration’s perpetuation of a genocide is giving a very important demographic an excuse not to engage and if that administration decided to end that genocide then maybe that demographic would happily change its tune?

Sotomayor is a good justice but a) she's had a good long time on the bench b) the risk of losing the seat is wildly larger than the risk of Biden nominating someone worse
"In other words, if Sotomayor doesn’t retire this year, she’ll be making a bet that she will remain fit to serve through age 82 or 84 — and she’ll be taking the whole Democratic Party coalition along with her in making that high-stakes bet." www.joshbarro.com/p/sonia-soto...
Sonia Sotomayor Must Retire
Democrats are distressed about the conservative court, but not ruthless enough to tell the aging justice to step down in time to avoid shifting the court even farther right.

Might be only a matter of time before a court literally kills someone by forcing her to carry a dangerous pregnancy until she dies herself.

Hey Americans, feeling politically powerless? You have an election tomorrow. Fascists are targeting those boring state and local positions and using them for everything from abortion restrictions to book bans to criminalizing trans healthcare. It's up to you to stop them.
