My guess is that he’s going to use the pretext of Zohran Mamdani’s election as a justification for sending troops to the city.

And if Zohran doesn’t win, Trump might just send the troops anyway, because “the new mayor will need our help,” and do you really expect Adams or Cuomo to stand up to him?

As @angus.bsky.social has noted, this video is a blatant ripoff of Zohran Mamdani’s whole vibe, but at least Schumer did his homework and is actually TRYING to recreate the magic, unlike Andrew Cuomo, who thought he could just grab a video camera, leave his apartment, & coast on his recognizability.
