This is what people in the market have been pointing out all along...Its not so much an issue of getting the metals as China's massive subsidies to state owned metal refiners that makes it cheaper to ship metals there for refining. Massive mercantilism.

I expressed my concern about Fed agents pointing guns at drivers in Chicago bc I've trained the military & LEOs for many years & none of what I'm seeing is professional. However I removed the post bc it was getting the wrong type of attention & lacked the above preface.

The Chinese may have the better model for "AI" development along with the US financial industry... Keep it focused on localized realistic tasks. The "everything" model doesn't work by definition. But now they have to justify the expense...
