Ironically, from the time I was six until I was into my 30s, all I wanted to be was normal. I wanted a normal life because I could feel deep in my bones that I wasn’t normal and nobody was treating me like I was normal. Once I realized how awful normal was, it took half a decade to let go of that.

As a cis person I really think this is it. We are stuck in our gender roles and they suck. They always have and most of us (cis people) feel constricted by them. Trans people remind us it doesn't have to be that way and cis people's insecurity gets put on trans people and that gets turned to hatred

If you have the ability it’s worth it
ask your doctor (a) if democrats capitulate on the trans healthcare ban, will they stop providing trans healthcare to avoid losing federal funds, and (b) if the chance is 10% or more, can they give you an emergency refill to last through the lawsuit?
