100% this, on the grounds that the best time to do this was any time in the last 18 years but the second best time is now
This is a good time to remove your children's faces from the internet if you are responsible for putting them there.
“If a woman dares to show herself in public in any way, then she can and will be sexually harassed with the aid of genAI-driven tools that can easily turn her face into highly realistic pornography” is an absolute red-alarm human rights disaster

#Gardening desperately trying to keep lime alive! Too big to bring in, no greenhouse. Forecast -5 Saturday night! Limes are more robust than lemons apparently. When it was smaller kept it in the garage over winter. But it suffered from lack of light. Have had some (a few) lovely fruit this year!

NB I don’t mean block all new accounts, but I mean if someone’s posting in a way that makes you angry, block them rather than engage - it really saved early Bluesky as a practice, and it’s a shame it’s not as common as it was.

Made the wreath for this year, gone for a completely compostable vibe ( except the ribbon, saving that!). The base is straw, soaked for an hour due to moss shortage.

I'm honestly not on commission, but why are the Yorkshire breweries so ahead of the game in superb #alcoholfree beers? Theakston, Ilkley brewery etc. Bought some in Booths Lancs now ordered a couple of cases for Christmas.

The Government can keep shouting. It's talking to itself.

The YIMBY-NIMBY divide exists only in Westminster's echo chamber.

Meanwhile, the public have made themselves clear. They want homes that work with nature, and leaders who listen.

This is near Goole. Early morning, a couple of weeks ago, building a new wildlife reserve. It can be quite surprising where you find beauty.

Last night, Peers voted against Swift bricks: rejecting a simple, proven way to help one of our fastest declining birds recover. ❌

We share @hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social's disappointment & frustration.

The vote came late, but with government refusing to back it, its fate was already sealed.

Why doesn't it dawn on anyone, that he was the late Queen's favourite child and she probably left him a considerable amount of her private wealth?
How does he pay for it all? The mystery of Prince Andrew’s money

Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.

What, Michelle? 🧵

It is with heavy heart (and, unfortunately, deep affection) that I must reshare a snippet from the 1980s masterpiece “Yes, Prime Minister”, in relation to Russia’s drone attack on a NATO ally.
