Rule number 112b:
LED headlights
In recent years, many
new cars have been fitted with extra-bright LED headlights.
LED headlights increase safety by illuminating every detail of the road ahead
Including the face of the person driving a metal box towards you at a combined speed of 80mph
Whom you have just blinded with your LED headlights.
LED headlights must be fitted at eye-level on a great big murderous wall of car.

They must be permanently on full beam, because you are insane.
And they should be bright enough to make other drivers think they are ascending into a blinding vortex of alien light
Like them old people in the classic Ron Howard film, Cocoon (1985).

#Gardening desperately trying to keep lime alive! Too big to bring in, no greenhouse. Forecast -5 Saturday night! Limes are more robust than lemons apparently. When it was smaller kept it in the garage over winter. But it suffered from lack of light. Have had some (a few) lovely fruit this year!

NB I don’t mean block all new accounts, but I mean if someone’s posting in a way that makes you angry, block them rather than engage - it really saved early Bluesky as a practice, and it’s a shame it’s not as common as it was.

Made the wreath for this year, gone for a completely compostable vibe ( except the ribbon, saving that!). The base is straw, soaked for an hour due to moss shortage.

I'm honestly not on commission, but why are the Yorkshire breweries so ahead of the game in superb #alcoholfree beers? Theakston, Ilkley brewery etc. Bought some in Booths Lancs now ordered a couple of cases for Christmas.

This is near Goole. Early morning, a couple of weeks ago, building a new wildlife reserve. It can be quite surprising where you find beauty.

GPs across England are to adopt a “three strikes and rethink” approach to patients whose illnesses they cannot diagnose, under a safety initiative known as “Jess’s rule”.
