Folks who tell you that it’s okay to temporarily sacrifice a marginalized group in order to win

Do not care about the marginalized group

Doesn't take long for escaped hogs to go feral, either. Some of Mom's people used to slaughter hogs and one of the uncles used to hunt razorbacks every now and then. He was sort of well-known in the area for being the right kind of alert to do the job.

I'm scared of pigs for a reason!

i have met a number of pigs, including pigs i later went on to eat (we have small farmers in our family) and quite frankly, getting to know pigs has made me feel even less bad about eating them

they would 100% eat us if given the chance

We definitely did some carefully shaving and trimming when our parents ordered certain parts/cuts of pork. I had to go vegan for a while after because it the bits looked too human and I'd been in anatomy classes.

Cooked up very nicely, tho 😅

I would hope that friends or family would get me some help if they saw me eating this sort of thing.

Several times a year, I get a few bucks from some settlement because a company failed in protecting my information. I haven't had to pay for credit record protection in several years.

Every couple of days, some government official's "secure" info gets released in a news story.

Nope. NOPE.

I stopped calling Octavia butlers work prophetic once I realized she herself literally said that her work was influenced by deeply studying history which gave have her insight into the future. I realized I was watering down how truly brilliant she was and what she was trying to get across

No one should have to choose between their life and their rights. And instead of shaming people for not making the choice we want, let's make it so they don't have to make that choice at all.

Bari Weiss introduced herself to CBS News staff today on the network's 9AM call, saying she wants to "win," which requires restoring trust to CBS. She also said she was excited for staff to get to know the Free Press, and ended her remarks by saying: "Let's do the fucking news."
