It's remarkable how often the loudest people complaining that journalists are liars and biased are also the first people to share whatever random bullshit pops up in their social media feeds when there is a mass shooting or terrorist attack

Museums are not neutral spaces. They shape what is remembered, and what is erased. The Royal Ontario Museum (@romtoronto) is reportedly reconsidering the use of the name Palestine for Palestinian artifacts, following political pressure from pro-Israel groups. At a time when Palestinians are being starved, bombed, and erased in real time, this kind of historical revision is not administrative. It is ideological.Palestine is not a slogan. It is a documented geographic and cultural reality across centuries of maps, archives, and scholarship.Erasing the name is part of erasing the people. We refuse to be silent while cultural institutions participate in that erasure.📣 Tell the ROM: Name Palestine. Defend history. Reject erasure. ✍️ Sign the letter. Link in bio and stories!

PSA: Before this "dislike" thing gets out of hand, because I've seen some very big accounts misinforming people, here's what it actually is.

It's a private option that lets you see less of topics you're not interested in on certain feeds. That's it.

It's not a downvote, thumbs down, etc.

Canada is complicit in the continued genocide of Gazans.

"The government of Canada is adamant — with certain, shifting caveats — that it has not allowed arms shipments to Israel since January 2024, & yet Israeli import data and publicly available shipping records appear to contradict that claim."

Let me put this another way:

Top reasons why Cdn-US tourism is down as seen by Canadians:

1. Forced annexation threats
2. Fear of arbitrary ICE arrest
3. General dismay @ new US
4. Tariffs, levied despite USCMA deal

Top reasons as seen by US media/govt:
1. Tariffs generally
2. 51 State 'jokes'

A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?

No new amendments were added.
