Cancel the LA Olympics, scrap the World Cup, the United States cannot be a trusted part of the international community so long as the White House operates this violently and with impunity.

Wish I could temporarily mute notifications from a single app for a set duration in a couple taps, rather than play endlessly with needlessly complicated focus/DnD modes.

But I guess that’s asking Apple or Google to care more about my attention’s value to me over their ability to profit from it.

Every time folk are like “AI is the future,” gotta remind them that stuff is all just more complicated versions of the same statistical system that can’t even let you type the word “we’ll” in a grammatically correct context without fucking it up for you.

I mean, the thing is, and I keep telling people this, I am SUPER lazy, so why would I learn how to prompt "AI" to write in a non-"AI" way when I can just naturally write in an engaging, human style? I doubt there is ever going to be a point where adding "AI" to the mix isn't just extra work for me.
I just saw a great take on writers using "AI" - people don't like to read something that's clearly written by "AI", so we need to respect that and make sure it seems natural.

So...put as much effort into tricking people into thinking we made an effort as we would into actually writing. Outstanding.

@warren.senate.gov just co-sponsored KOSA again 🤦🏽‍♀️

You CANNOT claim to be an ally to the LGTBQ community and support this awful bill. Your office blatantly ignored our Boston coalitions pleas, so let’s see how you feel about those phones being melted. CALL HER!
This Trans Day of Remembrance we’re holding the memory of countless trans lives lost to bigotry and hatred, and fighting like hell to preserve trans lives still with us today!

Trans people deserve to be seen + celebrated, not erased. Trans people deserve real allyship, not censorship.

STOP KOSA

Spent the last few weeks in Shenzhen. Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

Feels like the stories I used to hear about the way the Bay Area was in the 80s and 90s.

People here have crazy dreams to build crazy shit. I’d love to be here longer to see more of it come together.

Please re-normalize the emdash.

Don’t let good writing suffer because a handful of the sort of idiots that use AI to do all their writing also think punctuation is all you need to detect it.
are we still on about em dashes and ai. imo human writers should just use the em dashes even harder. we should be out here pummeling out those em dashes like we're emily dickinson

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!
