This is Denni. She took an unexpected babysitting shift when she found a baby koala in her yard. She cheerfully delivered the joey to her human, who put them back in the tree to be reunited with their mom. 14/10 (FB: Steve Lamplough)

Byron Buxton is awesome.

Twins 4, White Sox 2: Byron Buxton is Superman. He's Superman.
In a game that the Twins couldn't lose, they got help from their opponents' defense and some late-inning heroics from Trevor Larnach and Byron Buxton to deliver a much-needed victory. Here's how the g...

Cassoulet gratin à la Monks from @ranchogordo.bsky.social in prep for birthday dinner. The sauce tastes SO MUCH like aurora pasta sauce from my childhood favorite (now closed) Italian restaurant that I about cried in joy. Thanks Rancho Gordo!

"Constant low-grade grind" and use of my executive function on things I don't want to use it on! I just complained to my spouse the other day about how I'd have to decide what I want for dinner every day until I die.
Breakfast can be skipped, and lunch is a meal of convenience, @rtsugar.bsky.social writes. But figuring out what to eat for dinner is “a constant low-grade grind.”

The dream I just had where I was sitting in a dugout talking with a mix of very random Twins and Orioles players clearly means seasonal baseball withdrawal has set in. Time to read @joeposnanski.bsky.social's "Why We Love Baseball", which I saved for just this moment.

Last week @tuphlos.bsky.social Robin Bradford noticed AI narrators in her library's collection. She mentioned it here and then I jumped into the rabbit hole with her and found WEIRD STUFF.

The narrators are definitely AI. But are the authors, too!?

I think this remains the only Grandstand show I've ever seen. It poured rain, my friend's brand new Razr phone died from being soaked, they let Sonic Youth play too long (badly IMO), and by the time the Flaming Lips came on we only stayed for like five songs because we were wet, cold, and tired.
18 years ago, Sonic Youth played the Minnesota State Fair
