I have spent the past two days at work doing a task that has involved listening to trauma and distress. I have no formal training in how to deal with this and I am a wreck tonight. I hope I’ve been some help to the people concerned

I participated in a Djandak Wi (Country Fire) burn today with Djaara custodians in Bendigo today. It was wonderful to have the chance to learn about fire from a traditional owner perspective. Really sensitive and intuitive way of putting fire into the landscape.

I posted the quoted comment below on the Elon site, much racist response. What does Bluesky think? ‘I think there is a misunderstanding about the Welcome to Country. It’s not welcoming you to Australia, it is welcoming you to the particular land you are on and it is generous and welcoming’

Today's historic pic: Two weeks before the line closed, a Grey Ghost Harris train is visible beneath the roof at the platform as the analogue train departure clock tells us that the Next Train for Melbourne Starts at eleven minutes to three at the railway station at St Kilda, Vic, July 12 1987.

Behind that is a station platform that is dark because it is beneath an overall roof, and just visible at the platform is a Grey Ghost electric train awaiting departure for Flinders Street.

When I first joined bluesky the app kept glitching and everything took ages to load. Just acknowledging how smoothly things run now and I'm grateful, but PLEASE can the devs make it more accessible for sight impared people? This neglect has gone long enough.
