Today the New Jersey School Ethics Commission will consider a case where I assert a school board (North Hunterdon-Voorhees) violated ethics laws (NJ 18A:12-21 et seq.) by ignoring NJ law (2C:34-3) and instead following the whims of an outside group (American Library Association).

One of the best parts of any library are the shelves of books. This is why NYPL started #LibraryShelfieDay! On the fourth Wednesday of January, you are invited to take part. Selfie + Shelf = Shelfie!

We happen to think that our rare book room is the perfect place for a shelfie...

Libraries are gateways to endless possibilities. They act as spaces that encourage intellectual engagement & a culture of curiosity. One such occurrence in our library demonstrates how libraries use equipment like globes to engage children's curiosity, and provide interactive learning experiences.
