Besides being an amazingly entertaining show, I was thoroughly impressed with Coldplay’s promotion of sustainability before, during, and after the Stanford event. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

After a couple of rides in Lyft and Uber, I knew I’d always prefer them over taxi cabs. After 2 rides in a Waymo, I’m feeling the same thing again. How come autonomous driving feels so much safer than humans in such a short time?

I finished Martyr by Kaveh Akbar two nights ago. I'm sad that I don't get to continue it tonight at bedtime because it was THAT good. What a wonderful book. I want you all to read it. #booksky

Shame on @schumer.senate.gov . Poor negotiation tactics and he sold us out. Step aside and let the next generation govern.

Safetybobsf says "stay safe!"
What if #SF had a wind advisory? Wait, there is one in effect from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m today!

What you can do:
🌬️Secure loose outdoor objects
🌬️Watch out for falling trees & broken branches
🌬️Prepare for the possibility of power outages
🌬️ Use extra caution when driving

CC technologies certainly sound like cool climate tech solutions but @mzjacobson.bsky.social et al.'s research below gives a convincing, clearly worded rationale to focus on renewables instead. You've persuaded me, Mark!
"If you spend $1 on CC instead of on wind, water & solar, you are increasing CO2, air pollution, energy requirements, energy costs, pipelines, and total social costs"

Don't confuse being a fast talker with being a deep thinker. Speaking quickly signals confidence, not complexity.

Don't mistake volume for expertise. Speaking loudly reflects conviction, not credibility.

Sometimes the best ideas come from the least assertive voice in the room.

The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.

Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

I feel conflicted. While I believe Ross was guilty beyond a doubt, his sentence was excessive. What is more troubling is how overtly transactional Trump is. He flat out bought Libertarian votes with this promise. Silk Road set back crypto's reputation by a decade.
Donald Trump said he would grant clemency to Ross Ulbricht, the creator of dark web drug market Silk Road, on "day one." He didn't.

Silk Road Creator Ross Ulbricht Is Waiting for Trump to Keep His Word—and Set Him Free
On the campaign trail, incoming US president Donald Trump vowed to release Silk Road creator Ross Ulbricht from prison if reelected. Will he keep his word?
