Maybe if you guys made the upgraded version a DLC pack instead of a full price new game purchase this wouldn't be happening! I legit saw Metaphor on sale and told myself "Nah, Ill wait for the full version"

I think the most embarrassing thing about The Game Awards TM is the way they sell ad space so blatantly. You don't see a sequel being announced at the Oscars, to then win a vapid "Most Anticipated Game" award, and then win Best Game a few years later. It's a long and ridiculous commercial.

Two things can be true: 1.) The Game Awards are meaningless and we shouldn't take them all that seriously. 2.) Award shows of its scale DO rewrite the mainstream history of the art form, whether they deserve to or not, and its okay to care that it's so thoughtless despite having that responsibility.
