Is dark chocolate good for you?
"Sadly for chocoholics, the health claims for dark chocolate come from wishful thinking and sly marketing, not the findings of science."
Sorry

Is dark chocolate actually healthy?
We assess whether that tempting idea is too good to be true

CHATGPT: I understand where you're coming from. You worked really hard to get here, and now it's time to enjoy the fruit of your labors.

ISILDUR: So I should keep it? Elrond says I shouldn't

CHATGPT: The ring is precious. Sometimes friends don't have your best interests at heart.

And that single data point was preliminary. It got significantly revised down shortly after that graph made the rounds, looks like this now.

Allow me to add one aspect, I think the most important one, in the debate about whether the UK government and UK officials and politicians should leave X. I know that many hesitate to leave saying "we should win the debate rather than leave". They are wrong. /1 www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Absolutely agree. There's lots of stuff to scroll anxiously about, but covid is still awful and in some part cause of the other awful stuff.

Latest data from Spain: my estimate using the sentinel system sivira says currently between 2.8% and 4% of the population has covid. This NB+XFG wave has hit between 23% and 43% of the population. This week: flat positivity but proxy went up bc they're testing more bc the VRS season has started.

Let me be clear. As someone who has been professionally involved with the biodefense / biosecurity sector for nearly 20 years, and has worked on biological risk analysis for Covid-19 since early 2020, reducing one's risk of being infected is not health anxiety. It's just smart.

Attenuation of the SARS-2 furin-cleavage site (FCS) continues apace. It's beginning to look as if some form of FCS-weakening mutation might well become fixed in the near future. Collectively, they are at ~12% globally—a totally unprecedented level—& rising quickly. 1/4

Now the pro-trump crowd will also cancel their subscriptions. But of those of us who cancelled initially, only the ones with the most annoying kids will come back. Do well from the beginning or you'll be attacked from all sides.

They think their nephew is very smart and could do the job just as well. They're the same guys who think they could win a point against Serena Williams.

It's definitely positive overall, but it's missing the most effective way to avoid all those problems

It seems to me that a "comprehensive overview of cardiovascular prevention strategies across all stages of COVID-19" should start with the most important one: "try to not get covid". It's weird that this step is not mentioned, given all the other things they talk about.

I just cancelled my Disney+ suscription. There's a text field when you do that which allows you to explain why you do it. You can do it today and still wach stuff until your yearly plan expires. You can also send the message and then hit renew at the last minute. Probably with a better price too.

Actuarial innit. If they don’t cover your disease shot, they’re more likely to have to cover your disease. #vaccineswork

Regardless of the disgraceful nonsense we will likely hear from this administration in the coming days on vaccine “recommendations,” Americas healthcare insurers issued a joint statement tonight saying coverage for Covid and flu shots will remain unchanged from prior years.

Speaks for itself.

The remarks weren’t “about Charlie Kirk,” they were about how this administration is using Kirk’s death as an excuse to shut down critics … and they responded by proving him completely correct.
