It’s a hard habit to keep, especially when Bluesky is fun. But during the pandemic I had a “in-print only”‘policy for news. Only reading articles that had to be researched, edited, and could be corrected before the edition went to print was excellent for my mental health.
I speak to you as someone who's literally part of a daily call-to-action newsletter: it is worth remembering there will be almost nothing Trump does that you need to know about immediately, and limiting your news consumption to once a day will cost you nada.
the only way to push back is to spend deliberate time determining what capacities you have that can be useful in this moment and how you are willing to use them, and then do whatever is necessary to preserve your capacity and stick to your action plan.

Finished Colson Whitehead's Harlem Shuffle a little bit ago, and I still keep automatically thinking the title was Harlem Shake. Also, great caper story; felt like 3 books in one. I love a book where it's black characters in a story and not just fighting miserable adversity.
