With more than 80 parliamentarians I have signed this letter calling on the Government to stop Israeli settler violence & displacement of Palestinians in communities like Umm al-Khair.

The UK has a duty to uphold international law and protect those facing persecution.

Working people have been left behind in New York. In the wealthiest city in the world, one in five can't afford $2.90 for the train or bus. As I told Trump today— it’s time to put those people right back at the heart of our politics.

Well worth watching, actually. Zack Polanski has the labour government sussed!
Just watched an excellent Zack Polanski interview ( leader of the UK Green Party) by Owen Jones. Highly recommended. Polanski gives me hope that we can turn this country around and have a better future than what we're facing right now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_qa...

Can you imagine how Reform UK would react if a Welsh leader of any other party had been sentenced for 10 years for taking bribes?

Nathan Gill once said he "would never apologise for being patriotic".

Tbf he never said to which country...

Absolutely coruscating from Peter Kellner (and @anthonyjwells.bsky.social) on how Wes Streeting's team and The Times basically lied to the British public about support for the junior doctors' strike.

Indeed.
Where are all the "revoke Shamima Begum's citizenship she's a traitor people" today, I wonder.
Nathan Gill; A traitor who was at the very top of Reform UK, aiding and abetting Russian adversaries, has been sentenced today.

Reform UK should be ashamed. Britain deserves better.

Reform's former Leader in Wales, Nathan Gill, a 10.5 year jail term for taking bribes from the Kremlin.

Cosied up to authoritarian powers & traded principles for payoffs. Reform's leadership laughably claimed they barely knew Gill.

Will all this be on tomorrow's front pages?

It never stops.
The grubby donations. The profiteering. The lobbying. The lies.
“In 2019-20, as the UK was leaving the EU, Harborne gave £10m to Nigel Farage’s Brexit party, since renamed Reform UK.”
They make damn sure they get what they want.
We get screwed.

Researching this week's column, I stumbled across something that amazed me:
the near-absence of reliable data about climate impacts over most of the

Michael Gove on claims of a bad culture in No. 10 during the pandemic:

"The business of govt can't be carried on in the manner of a Jane Austen novel".

As so often, this assumes that the macho, hyper-aggressive style of Cummings & co produces better decisions. All the evidence suggests the reverse

So, #r4today reports on the Covid inquiry and the “too little, too late” Tory govt, then says they’ll be talking to *Lord* Gove about it. Ugh.
That just sums up so much that’s so very wrong with our politics and media.

It's this simple.
Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

We really must get big money out of politics.
Drug companies have hired over 500 lobbyists this year to gut the Inflation Reduction Act's drug price negotiation provisions.

They outnumber public interest advocates more than 20 to 1.

We must get money out of politics and end Big Pharma's deadly greed once and for all.
