This is new and hopeful: Dimon refers to being concerned about

“how the next DOJ is going to deal with it”.

Dems should telegraph today that they will retaliate against people, businesses, and nations that help with Trump’s schemes.

So many people have sacrificed everything for Trump; their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. Its baffling to me. How could anyone have looked at this train wreck and believed it would turn out any other way?

This is going to turn into an even bigger shit show once Trump leaves office, there's a hole in the ground where the east wing used to be, and the money suddenly goes poof.

trump has basically been robbing a bank in broad daylight, apparently hoping that the brazenness of the act will scare everyone away from sounding the alarm. but if anyone ever says "hey, wait a second!" - well, now he's suddenly just a guy robbing a bank in broad daylight. good luck with that, bozo

trump's ability to commit astonishing, unprecedented crimes in full public view was self-sustaining: the failure of anyone to impose consequences was a demonstration of his impunity and convinced amoral pragmatists he must be accommodated

but if a few guys go "hm, seems risky to help," uh oh

My translation is they don’t want to be participating in anything that a future administration could consider to be a bribe of a public official under 18 U.S.C. section 201 or an extortion conspiracy under section 1951.

We need to start doing things like Asia. They lock your ass up and ask questions later. Hong Kong already has their arsonists in jail. S Korea carried their president out by the balls when he declared Martial Law. We take too long to do anything

The structures of democracy stayed in place but their functions were hollowed out. Florida now operates through a procedural takeover that removed checks from within the system itself. This is governance by paper, not consent, and it is becoming a model for others. #FloridaFascism
