Regardless of the opinion's outcome, it cannot directly force individual governments to take more climate action. Unlike ICJ rulings, opinions are not directly binding. However, they have an indirect effect: national and international courts can refer to this opinion in their rulings.

Die Armen wohnen in den wärmsten Quartieren.
Ohne Klimaanlagen, ohne Pool, in schlecht gedämmten Wohnungen.
Kein Ferienhaus oder Garten, das kühlen kann.

Kopenhagen hat im ambitionierten Plan auf CO2-Netto-Null „nur“ 80 % geschafft.

Die Wirtschaft lebt noch immer, den Menschen geht es nicht schlechter dadurch (wohl eher besser). Aber jetzt stellen wir uns kurz das Ergebnis vor, wenn das Ziel damals weniger ambitioniert gewesen wäre…
