I hate how accurate this is. "Mild autism" doesn't mean it affects me mildly; it affects NTs mildly. But that's fine with them.
But the problem is those researchers would first have to believe we have internal lives and also think they're relevant.
And the main thing about how autism is diagnosed is what about Autistic people makes non-Autistics uncomfortable. And stopping that is the goal of the research.
