This is not a surprise. But it is a depressing triumph of west-side NIMBYism, and the axe grinding of neighborhood power brokers, some of whom are heartfelt but some of whom are clearly just grinding for power.
The recall of Supervisor Engardio is just the beginning of a bigger fight over housing and development on San Francisco’s west side.
