are folks unaware of how difficult it is for indie authors to get indie bookshops to even touch their books? indie bookshops sell mostly trad books. so telling an indie author to ‘sell in an indie bookshop’ is kinda frustrating when they often decline to stock anything not trad or successful.

Off and on lately (but, speaking frankly, mostly "on") I've been thinking a lot about how very likely it is that nothing I write now, even if I finish it in the next year, will ever be able to be read by anyone.
