You can tell they don't have a real concern for one simple reason. They didn't ban the drug; they banned the usage. That means that 10 year olds with precocious puberty can still do it. That, in turn, means that the drug is not inherently dangerous, and can do that specific thing.

In fact the FOI would just reveal that they don't have any data, which is why the are refusing it. A null response is much worse for them, because they are claiming "science", then making unscientific decisions.

Their reason for non-disclosure is not a reason not to disclose the data they used to make the decision. They claim they need to have “frank & open discussions”, but no-one is asking for a record of those, we want to know the data that informed those “debates”. They are being thoroughly dishonest.
