This take misses the obvious and normal role of social media: people talk, across wide areas and groupings; they compare notes.
That it's critical is not the *fault* of SM, it's the result of people having the tools to come to a conclusion, and not have to rely on the media to give an opinion

So. I have heard a lot of noise about “optimizing” library work by basically setting up a computer with chatGPT on it and telling patrons to go nuts.
This will not work. They basically radiated autocorrect with Nazi pedo shit 24/7 and tweaked it so it sounds really sure about stuff it cannot know.
