There are many, many recent moments that I'd like to see all the people professing to be deeply outraged by Bob Vylan comment on. From columnists & politicians to the Chief Rabbi. (Perhaps they have but I can't find any...)
I'd probably start with this one.

Senior Israeli official says all Palestinian adults in Gaza 'should be eliminated'
Deputy parliament speaker Nissim Vaturi also called for the destruction of Jenin, warning that it will soon be turned into Gaza

While the government and right- wing media whines about pro-Palestine and anti-Israeli chants at Glastonbury, a music festival where nobody was actually killed, they say nothing about another 81 Palestinians killed by the IDF on the same day.

Is there any difference between an Iranian missile hitting a hospital in Israel, and an Israeli missile hitting a hospital in Gaza?
They are both abhorrent, but does one seem to be getting more coverage?

Farage claimed in his speech today that he would raise £65 *billion* by cutting climate policies, DEI schemes, and ‘Quangos’.

He’s not running a serious operation and every political journalist in the country has a public duty to shout that from the rooftops

Going to keep saying it - the Farage effect is largely an illusion. Many, many more people loathe him than like him.

Trump destabilises the markets, prices tumble, his rich mates buy up shares on the cheap, he goes back on what he says (like we all knew he would) and those mates suddenly are a whole lot richer as the markets rise. Those less well off suffer, but hey, MAGA...

Here's a damning verdict from the Intelligence & Security Committee regarding Boris Johnson's half-baked report into Russian interference in the Brexit ref. Basically, they didn't even bother looking for any! Surely now it's time for a public enquiry into Putin's Brexit!

So, Labour Party, how is making people poorer and sicker, and pushing another 250,000 into poverty going to help exactly? This is not the Labour I know and voted for. Whither the optimism from last July which is rapidly dissipating?

"Hey, we've got a huge hole in our finances; let's hit the pensioners, the poor and the sick, that should do it, and there's no money anywhere else..." Er, think there is...this is not a Labour govt. Where's all that optimism gone?

So, @uklabourparty.bsky.social you're choosing to penalise millions of people instead of taxing those worth £10 million and more - You will further alienate your support; where has that optimism from last July gone?

Quite extraordinary; did Trump plan this? What was he trying to achieve? If to get Ukraine to kowtow before the USA, that didn't happen, but he ended up humiliating himself and his country.

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.

While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant of +£18.42tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

Absolutely damning. Look at each category one by one - particularly the economic ones. YouGov article on these data here. 👉 yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

Nothing drives the far-left more insane than praising moderate conservatives, but it's hard to think of anything of greater importance right now. We are seeing widespread radicalisation on the right, almost daily, toward ever more extreme positions. And there's hardly anyone speaking out against it.
The radicalisation of much of the right in Britain far exceeds that of the left under Corbyn. (I say that as a staunch critic of Corbyn).

It's essential that decent Conservatives speak out, if they don't want the likes of Cummings, Oakeshott and Jenrick to prostitute their tradition to an arsonist.

In 2018 we left the EU's Water Regulation body and their massive fines.

Then sewage dumping increased 20x.

Before Brexit we had some of the cleanest water in Europe.

Now it is by far the dirtiest.
