Cutting property taxes for Oregonians affected by wildfires. Canceling planned freeway tolls. Pausing local new taxes in the Portland area. We have to keep going to make life more affordable for Oregonians.

Do-nothing democrats are the reason trump won, and doing apologetics for decades of inaction is disgusting. If you think the student loan forgiveness failure happened in a vacuum, then you were just comfortably insulated from all the other ways dem failure to use power hurt people.

Really happy with the Portland city councilors who voted to ban AI price fixing, pass the detention fee ordinance, and start the pricess for a human rights screen on city investments.
There’s a lot of noise and bullshit out there, but these folks are governing with their values.

Here is a FAQ sheet that will clarify what Portland City Council does and doesn't have power to do in relation to revoking the Macadam ICE permit.
TL;DR:
(1) CC cannot unilaterally revoke the ICE permit;
(2) CC cannot lean on PP&D to do it;
(3) the CC is exercising its authority in other ways.

The only rational response to this is launching a primary against every ineffective, moderate Democrat. If Rs win it’s because the Dems in state legislature have done virtually nothing for their progressive base despite holding supermajorities.
