What happened, @nytimes.com? Why not stand by your original headline? Because it’s absolutely an accurate representation of this trash conversation.

To publish this at all should be a fireable offense - but to publish it as women’s rights are being decimated is deeply immoral, bordering on evil

1) IF your senator 🗳 to end the shutdown, please yell at them. I'm not joking. Pressure works.
2) I can't tell you the 8 dems who 🗳 for this are acting in good faith. Republicans are nazis & there will be some dems who're nazis too: Sinema & Manchin come to mind.

Throughout my life, I've encountered white people who insisted that nothing was "racism" unless someone was explicitly saying they were Nazis and hate all Black people.

Now the same folks are saying that doesn't count either. They've always just been bigots who want to give others the green light.

It shows Schumer no longer has the caucus.
It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Ask him why so many air traffic controllers are retiring at once. Ask him if it has anything to do with Reagan firing 11K union strikers in 1981 and having to replace them all at once. Ask him how the mass firings this year will impact us the same way 40 years from now. Ask him, Jake.

The Trump administration told states that they must “immediately undo” any actions to provide full food stamp benefits to low-income families, in a move that added to the chaos surrounding the nation’s largest anti-hunger program during the government shutdown. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/09/b...

Chuck Schumer is definitely going to lose his job if the Dems cave on the first counter to their compromise. With nothing on health care.

He is cooked, get him out of there ASAP—before we find ourselves in the midst of a second Great Depression

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

“woke” is when you acknowledge that black people have contributed to the united states
Two panels commemorating the contribution of Black American soldiers towards the liberation of the Netherlands in World War Two have been quietly removed from a cemetery in Limburg. It follows a complaint by right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission.

People younger than Gen X didn’t live through even the remnants of the red scare but they have lived through the collapse of the middle class and the birth of a new Gilded Age.

It’s been honestly funny watching the socialism and communism scare-words fall flat after working for three generations.

Please get Dem strategists to reflect upon all the things the Mamdani campaign did versus the Dem mayors sending their police forces to harass and arrest and expel college students for a full year before the general election.
here is my story about how Zohran's focus on community amid the loneliness epidemic helped young people connect their politics to an organizing infrastructure, that interviewed ZM, and does not use the NYT's framing of "they don't know how to make friends" :-) and also ran 4 days before NYT's lol
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”

Please read about the Mitfords. They were Nazis
Like his grandmother is Diane Mitford/Osley of the Mitford sisters including unity who was so distraught that England declared war on her hero (Adolf Hitler) she shot herself survived, suffered then died
Here's Palantir's Louis Mosley, grandson of Britain's most famous fascist leader, talking about the importance of AI, if you aren't convinced yet that this is one big co-ordinated push towards the destruction of everything good in life.
