It's my birthday. This year looks like focus is gonna be a lot of community organizing work on my plate, and y'all know how much that pays. (Little to nothing!)

Lol. I have a box of gloves and grabbed some dog waste bags and pick up bits of trash in the hallways, stairs and outside where I smoke.

Was doing that and then realized guy who has the claw thing with a bucket who does it outside. We passed and smiled. He was glad to see me helping out. 🙂 […]

Bid limits—prohibiting local governments from performing their own work over a certain dollar value—are a form of privatization that increases the cost of government.
Our crew-built work is one big way that we’re delivering the Seattle Transportation Levy.

By using in-house construction crews, we complete improvements that you’ve requested with lower costs and faster timelines.

Here are 9 recently completed projects from our inspector’s camera roll:

I hope more people are beginning to see the similarities between the cops and ICE.
We recently made a video about former CRG Lt. Matthew Didier at Cal Anderson last year.

Richard Bonesteel is now a sergeant in that unit. This angry child temperament in CRG is a feature, not a bug. SPD chooses this type to lead.

ICE has booked at least 3,800 children +

(Drawing by a 5-year-old detained in Texas with her mother. “I am 5 years old” is written at the top. Lower down, next to stick figures, are the words “let us go.” You don't have to know your Bible to hear myriad echoes here, but phew, those too.)

If bikes destroyed car infrastructure at this rate, bikes would be banned in 36 states.
Barely 24 hours later and the Pine & 4th temporary bike safety barrier is already nearly a foot out of position.

This is unsustainable.

@seattledot.bsky.social can we get another work order to restore it before it becomes a significant mobility obstruction and safety hazard?

I really cannot stress this enough. When I visited France, I visited a building where I read an entry in a log book where a Nazi recorded my great-grandmother's death in the camps. The name of this building was the "Musée de la Résistance et de la *Déportation*". It was not the "museum of the […]

The majority of organizing happening in Minnesota isn’t just peaceful, it’s INVISIBLE. Moms showing up who won’t be interviewed on TV, people whose ICE patrols don’t turn into viral video. The grocery runs, the donations, the people filming bc they happen to be there. Please remember this.

There's dozens of non-white people who've been murdered by ICE, and so many abductions have been documented for months.

I would be very surprised if a full accounting in the future didn't reveal more than one mass grave at the detention centers. If they're behaving this way in public, what's happening out of sight must be many times more brutal.
Imagine what’s happening in the camps.
