Rediscovered "Exact Thinking in Demented Times" by Karl Sigmund. Such a wonderful group biography and a very accessible work on the history and philosophy of science!

Rediscovered "Exact Thinking in Demented Times" by Karl Sigmund. Such a wonderful group biography and a very accessible work on the history and philosophy of science!

I took the train from Vienna to Western Romania via Northeastern Hungary for Christmas. The train was full of Ukrainians.
Same on the way back.
I am glad to see Ukrainians embracing the Gregorian Christmas so fast. Sad they got home just in time for Russia's Christmas Day massive attack.

Just voted in the Romanian presidential elections. (The country where I grew up.) there is a real chance that the candidate of a new far-right, euroskeptic, and pro-Russia will win. It is almost certain that he will be in the second round and that the liberal candidate I voted for will not.

True. The job of a good bartender is to make sure you only stay in either of the first two drives.

While this article is mostly meant for bartenders, pre-batching a nice drink with dilution and then chilling it to the right temperature is the party trick you never knew you needed.
