FILE THAT SHIT. ALL MY HOMIES FILE CLASS ACTION CLAIMS AGAINST THE PLAGIARISM MACHINE.
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

Why, it's almost like having rich people paying their fare share is good for everyone!
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

Today's adventure is a trip to Naoshima (art island) for sightseeing and gallery viewing. Starting with a good breakfast if rice, miso soup, cold tofu and pickled cabbage. Can't beat a ¥550 teishoku!

First travels are two local trains to get to Uno port, then a ferry across the Seto Naikai.

Kraftwerk’s equipment defined electronic music. Now it’s on sale to the highest bidder
Kraftwerk helped invent modern electronic music. What happens to their legacy when a co-founder’s studio is broken up and sold off?

Made use of the hotel sentou last night. As tatts aren't allowed, the hotel kindly supplied some medical dressings to cover the ink. Looked a bit like a TDF rider who'd been patched up after eating serious asphalt. 😂

I wonder if it's dawned on the Liberal party, that they've been subject to a reverse takeover by the QLD National Party. If it has, I wonder how much it burns to realise that they are now owned by a party representing fewer than 4% of the voting population. What a shit-show. 😂
What a clown show. First the Nationals force the Liberals to dump all climate policies, now they say they have gone too far.

Another early(ish) start, taking a quick Shinkansen trip to Hiroshima. Planning to visit Miyajima and the peace park. Working the JRail pass hard!

Big day walking around Okayama, including an afternoon at Korakuen garden (one of the big three perfect gardens in Japan). Absolutely exquisite scenery and autumn colours. No yukitsuri yet, but many trees with winter protections in place. Wrapped up with a terrific golden ale at Kawazu brewing. 😕

I appear to have stumbled upon the sex toy section at the Hands store, in the nearby Aeon mall. 🤔

An upside of it being autumn in Japan, is that mandarins are in season. So snacking fruit is plentiful (and inexpensive).

Still work to AEST so up early to get out #running and explore on foot. Took in Okayama Castle and along the Asahi river (morning light!). I like how the stones in retaining walls are commonly oriented in Japan.

Melbourne has an extensive tram network, but Okayama has the neko tram! 🐱 可愛い です ね!

Enjoying a pleasant evening stroll and a couple of quiet beers before dinner. And snacks (edamame is the best beer snack ever).

Big #TravelDay yesterday, with a long haul to Tokyo. Another one today though a bit more relaxing, with the Shinkansen to Okayama. Successfully managed to collect our JRail passes, reserve Shinkansen seats and buy Suica cards - using mostly Japanese language. As well as buy Ekiben for the trip...

Dan is living proof of the dangers of in-breeding. The Cletus Spuckler of Australian politics. How that slack-jawed yokel even manages to tie his own shoes is beyond me.
Dan Tehan says the Liberals’ new plan to reduce emissions will include new taxpayer funded Coal projects.
And that they will be pushing for “Zero Emissions Coal”🤔

To board your aircraft, you must first pass through the corridor of bears. Given what's happening in Japan right now, that's probably good preparation.
