結局「どっちもどっち」的な相対主義に回収されかねない、便利すぎる言葉のように思えて。
たしかに一般的に「分断」という言葉からイメージされる、社会集団内の意見の対立や議論の激化そのものにも深刻な面はあると思うが、たとえば排外主義や差別によって強化されてしまう、本来的な意味での「分断」に比べれば大したことはないとさえ思えてくる。
「分断」を語る際は、何が「橋を燃やす」行為なのか、そして誰が「燃やして」いるのかを、煙幕にごまかされず見極める必要がある（寓話を説明するのも野暮だが）

ICE tried to clear the scene of Minneapolis police, but the police chief refused and has instructed local police to preserve the scene.

Alex Pretti, the man killed by federal agents today in Minneapolis, appears to have been a registered nurse, an athlete, a son and a brother, with ties to Colorado and Wisconsin.

I am watching what is happening in Minneapolis on Ali Velshi and one of the ICE officers (off camera) literally says, “It’s like Call of Duty. Pretty cool huh?” as they shoot whatever it is they are shooting. Agents walking around, guns unholstered for no reason. This is insanity
