This seems significant: not a FORMER DHS official, but a SENIOR (current) one saying the officer who fired acted counter to training.

I think my takeaway from what happened today in Minnesota is that if the ICE employees had just continued what they were doing, they wouldn't have been anywhere near the vehicle that the citizen was driving. They approached her and injected themselves into the situation.

Looks like Laura Bush’s 2008 Silver Linden may have survived, but most every green thing in immediate vicinity of the East Wing did not.

The Secret Service, DHS & Pentagon must be involved in both the planning and implementation of such a major modification.
I bet that this isn't currently the case.
