Just pointing out that the UK has the highest pension and minimum wage we ever had. Also the highest level of regulatory protection.

Mears, Serco, and Clearsprings oversee most asylum accommodation in UK and make huge profits doing so, despite a significant proportion of accommodation being substandard. It isn't people seeking safety costing taxpayers money, it's the firms making profits off of them.

Agree with every word of this

We've gone from 9% of social care staff coming from outside the UK and EEA in 2021/22 to almost 25% in 2024/25

The govt has no near-term replacement

It means either:
1) staffing shortages or
2) councils spending far more to attract staff, with no extra funding
